The reality of being trans can be exhausting

Along with the fight for acceptance, trans individuals often contend with their own feelings of self-doubt and anger. Hil Malatino is assistant professor in the departments of women’s, gender and sexuality studies and philosophy at Penn State, and he joins host Krys Boyd to discuss why embracing feelings of envy and despair can offer a more complete picture of a person post-transition. His book is “Side Affects: On Being Trans and Feeling Bad.”
