If you listen to Think in North Texas, we have some exciting news to share with you: Starting January 15, Think will air every weekday from noon to 1pm on KERA News. Here & Now will air from 11am-noon, and from 1pm-3pm.
OK, so that’s fewer hours of Think airing in North Texas every week; why exactly is this exciting news?
Well, bringing you thoughtful, in-depth conversations is our job and, honestly, our joy. And the show has never had more momentum — Think now airs on more than 200 stations nationwide!
Behind the scenes, though, there is a lot of preparation, coordination, research and reading that goes into every show you hear. (Have you ever seen Krys notate a book? It’s kind of bonkers.)
But we wouldn’t have it any other way. That caliber and thoroughness is what public media is all about, and it’s what our listeners deserve. And, we want to continue bringing you this show long into the future!
So, to create a little more bandwidth, we’re shifting from 9 hours to 5 hours of programming a week. This is exciting because it will help us ensure every episode of Think you hear is the absolute best it can possibly be.
Frankly, this is a change our team has been eager for! With more bandwidth, we can prepare for each conversation with even more thoroughness and detail, enhance the audio of the show and have more flexibility in booking superb guests.
And here’s something we’re especially excited about — in addition to hearing a higher quality show, with this change you can also expect to see us out in North Texas more!
