Politicians talk tough about immigration, but oftentimes their arguments don’t hold up to the data. Hein de Haas is a professor of sociology at the University of Amsterdam and directs the International Migration Institute. He joins host Krys Boyd to discuss his research into migration patterns and how laws restricting migrants don’t line up with the demand for labor in the U.S. His book is “How Migration Really Works: The Facts About the Most Divisive Issue in Politics.”
