Not every movie needs a moral

It’s OK to like art others don’t, but our reasons often say more about us than the artwork. Adam Kotsko teaches in the Shimer Great Books School at North Central College. He joins host Krys Boyd to discuss our tendency to judge a movie or book on how it reflects our personal values rather than as something existing outside of our personal experiences. His article, “Moralism Is Ruining Cultural Criticism,” was published in The Atlantic.
