The importance of mentors for Black boys

Finding positive influences to help a boy grow into a man is critical, especially for disadvantaged youth. Will Jawando is an attorney, activist and councilman for Montgomery County, Maryland. He joins host Krys Boyd to discuss the seven men who mentored him at critical times in his life who, he says, made him the leader he is today. His memoir is “My Seven Black Fathers: A Young Activist’s Memoir of Race, Family, and the Mentors Who Made Him Whole.”
