We might get bored with the same clothes hanging in our closets – but a lot went into making those shirts and pants. Sofi Thanhauser teaches in the writing department at Pratt Institute. She joins host Krys Boyd to discuss her research into linen, cotton, silk, synthetics and wool; how they shaped civilization; and why, today, fashion has become a leading producer pollution on the planet. Her book is called “Worn: A People’s History of Clothing.
