Myths About Immigration Are Holding America Back

Immigrants to America routinely find that the “the land of opportunity” is riddled with racism and exclusion. Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz has been active in the international Indigenous movement for more than four decades, and she joins host Krys Boyd to talk about how the myth of equality obscures the more complex, hard truths that the nation has yet to address. Her book is called “Not ‘A Nation of Immigrants’: Settler Colonialism, White Supremacy, and a History of Erasure and Exclusion.”
