A tourist will grab a guidebook to find all the best sights and sounds. Wouldn’t it be great to have that resource for the newly immigrated? Roya Hakakian is a fellow at the Davenport College at Yale and a teacher at Thread, a writing workshop at Yale. She joins host Krys Boyd to talk about her instruction manual for newcomers to this country, acting as tour operator for all the wonder of American sights and sounds. Her book is “A Beginner’s Guide to America: For the Immigrant and the Curious.”
