Dementia erases the very things that make people who they are – and it often leaves their loved ones unsure of how to interact with the person who remains. Lynn Casteel Harper is a chaplain and minister for older adults at The Riverside Church in New York City, and she joins host Krys Boyd to talk about honoring the human when caring for someone with cognitive disease. Her new book is called “On Vanishing: Mortality, Dementia, and What It Means to Disappear.”
