The Moral Limits of Markets

Hour 1:           Is our market economy shifting to a “market society” where nearly everything can be bought and sold and how might such a shift affect our concepts of morality, responsibility, and citizenship? We’ll talk this hour with Michael Sandel, the Anne T. and Robert M. Bass Professor of Government at Harvard University and author of the recent book “What Money Can’t Buy: The Moral Limits of Markets” (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2012). He’ll lead a live version of his BBC radio program “The Public Philosopher” this Sunday the 7th at University of Dallas.
