He Ran Towards His Indigenous Roots

As a first-generation American, Noé Álvarez turned away from the typical steps toward the middle class and instead ran away – literally – through a foot race over indigenous lands that connected him to who he is and wants to be. He joins host Krys Boyd to talk about his participation in Peace and Dignity Journeys, which allowed him to explore the world of his ancestors. His book is called “Spirit Run: A 6,000-Mile Marathon Through North America’s Stolen Land.”
