On Friday, The Dallas Opera debuts the world premiere of “Great Scott.” The piece centers on an opera star (Joyce DiDonato) who tries to save her hometown company with a performance of a newly discovered work. Only trouble is the town might be more interested in a big football game scheduled for the night of the performance.
