According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, HPV – the Human papillomavirus – currently infects approximately 20 million adults in the United States. HPV, a sexually-transmitted disease, has also been related to cervical cancer. The FDA has licensed a vaccine for use in girls/women between the ages of 9-26.
