It’s not too hard to imagine a future in which we’re as likely to interact with a robot as we would a family member or pet. Fortunately, a blueprint already exists for how we might handle these robot relationships. Kate Darling is a researcher in MIT’s Technology Media Lab, and she joins host Krys Boyd to talk about how our relationship with animals might serve as a guide to our dealings with robots. Her book is “The New Breed: What Our History with Animals Reveals about Our Future with Robots.”
