Elliot Ackerman served five tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan and earned a Purple Heart for his service. This hour, we’ll talk about how those years spent in a warzone informed his debut novel, Green on Blue (Scribner), which is set in the mountains of eastern Afghanistan.
